>Klein Dytham architects and Tokyo Figure Show

8 Aug

Klein Dytham is a architecture practice based in Tokyo. It was founded by Mark Dytham and Astrid Klein in 1991. Astrid has worked for Toyo Ito. Mark is the creator of Pecha Kucha Night. (PKN in short)

The other day I met Mark thanks to the intercession of Carles Canion. So, what is interesting about Klein Dytham practice? Their creativity, of course. But how do they work? – I dont know yet. I will keep you posted after I vist their HQ next week.

For those of you who are not familiar with Klein works. Klein is the brains behind the promiscuous Bloomberg touch panel screen of Marunouchi. (now extinct). If you are interested in such interactive panel technology here is a couple of museums you must see:
1. Whitney museum in New York
2. The NTT ICC museum in Hatsudai-Shinjuku, Tokyo.

On the other hand, this week in Toyo we have seen the birth of a rare show: tokyo figure show, a brainchild of the mediatic Danny Choo. Tomorrow is the last day. Entrance is free. Danny Choo is also the organizer of Tokyo CGM Night.

And, what is the relation between DannyChoo and Klein Dytham? Well, both are organizing Events with the word Night embedded. By the way, PechaKucha Night is hosted in Roppongi Hills, very near to the celebre Heartland pick-up bar. (japanese girl pick-up the foreigner)
